Singer Eddy Kenzo who has been in the news for reasons associated to remarks uttered by motor mouthed Muslim cleric Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata who demeaned him while presiding over Rema’s ‘kukyala’ on 9th October 2019 when her new hubby Ssebunya visited her parents.

Social media has been a wash of insults pointed at both Eddy Kenzo and Muzaata who in his speech congratulated Rema upon getting rid of love niggaz and we can suspect it was either a slip of the tongue, power of money or food that drove the loud voiced Sheikh to say Genda Owase Nyoko which literally means go marry your mum and many perceived the insult as a direct order to singer Eddy Kenzo.

Kenzo through his social media pages had threatened not to ever sing or stage a concert in Uganda, also threatened to camp at Kibuli mosque, in his previous live video he threatened to march to Kibuli mosque to meet Sheikh Muzaata in a bid to have him apologize for the insult or else wed him with his late mother.

While appearing on a local radio station, Sheikh Muzaata revealed he’s getting in touch with Kenzo to meet him which is an indication he bowed to pressure and by all means he will apologize to him. This evening in a live video, Eddy Kenzo has called upon all his fans to cease fire and allow the peace talks that are currently on-going.

He also revealed that people power boss Robert Kyagulanyi, Buganda premier Charles Peter Mayiga have initiated a process of engaging the outspoken Sheikh in a round table talkwith Kenzo until all is sorted. Eddy Kenzo sighted out that for his security and Muzaata’s security, all the fracas needs to be sorted as soon as possible and called upon parliament to bring up laws that curb cyber harassment and bullying.

The Sitya loss singer however noted with concern that if the peace talks fail and the engagement hit a dead end, he will get back to his original script of attaining his freedom until Sheikh Muzaata comes out to acknowledge that what he said was out of order though he has for long defiantly said he will never apologize.
