Eight South Sudanese Soldiers have been killed in an ambush near Gok state capital Cueibert, authorities say
The incident happened on Saturday after soldiers came into fight with armed youth over cattle according to sources who spoke to media this afternoon
Twenty-six soldiers had been dispatched on Friday to a cattle camp by the authorities to drive some cattle meant for a blood compensation and the armed youth reportedly disagreed and attacked the soldiers on the way according to one source.
“They were dispatched to get some cattle in a cattle camp just outside Cueibet,” one source told this website from Cueibet. More reports reveal the number of deaths may rise as those rushed to hospitals were critically injured.
